A diverse range of Katherine community groups and not-for-profit organisations will benefit from their share in Katherine Town Council’s Community Grants Program funding.
Mayor Lis Clark said the Council invites applications from community groups each year for a share of the funding.
“The community grants will support 11 different community groups who are respected local not-for-profits,” Mayor Clark said.
“These grants will support a variety of projects, from cultural festivals and community events to educational programs and essential equipment purchases. Each project is an example of community groups contributing to making Katherine a better place to live, work and visit,” she said.
