International Day of People with Disabilities

Nominations are now open for the International Day of People with a Disability awards, with winners to be announced at a morning tea hosted by the Katherine Town Council at the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre on December 3.

These annual awards honor individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the community in the areas of disability advocacy and support. The event aims to unite people with disabilities, their families, carers, and the wider community to celebrate and acknowledge their invaluable contributions.
